Design Software

Most quantum hardware technologies use lasers for quantum control and readout. Therefore, being able to compute the dynamics of light-matter interaction, under non-ideal conditions such as noise and imperfections, is crucial for hardware design. We provide a software tool that can be used for this purpose. The Qworkbench is a multi-purpose design software, which provides an accurate simulation of light matter interaction, where the matter can be one or many among several alkali and alkaline earth atoms and ions and the light can be lasers of any user specified characteristics. In addition, it allows the user to study the effects of added magnetic fields, RF and microwave fields.

Online Course

Expanding the quantum workforce needs not only training and education of next-generation engineers, but also requires the training material to be accessible to experts in other areas. To this end, we provide a set of online course materials, co-designed with the teaching version of the Qworkbench. The basic courses focus on quantum computation, atomic physics and quantum optics.

Teaching Software

The quantum revolution is to be powered by a growing pool of quantum workforce. Developing this work force involves technical education in various fields ranging from basic sciences like quantum physics, quantum algorithms to applied sciences such as atomic physics and optical engineering. We provide a teaching version of our Qworkbench, which is designed for teaching atomic physics, quantum optics and their interface with quantum technologies. The software enables simulation and graphical illustration of the quantum dynamics of atoms and ions in the presence of lasers, magnetic fields and RF and microwave fields.
